 By: Alcon (D-WA) - 2008-05-19 @ 11:28:47

THE RACE: The presidential race in New York.

THE NUMBERS:

Hillary Rodham Clinton 51 percent, John McCain 39 percent

Barack Obama 49 percent, John McCain 38 percent

OF INTEREST: Clinton and Obama have led McCain in this heavily Democratic state since before McCain became the presumptive Republican nominee. But each of the Democrats has widened their lead over McCain in hypothetical head-to-head matchups.

The Siena (College) Research Institute poll was conducted May 12-15. It involved telephone calls to 622 registered New York state voters. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.9 percentage points.
