About this PollBoth surveys had a sample size of 500 registered voters and they were weighted for age, race, and gender. The surveys were conducted by telephone on June 6th and June 7th. InsiderAdvantage (publisher of the Southern Political Report) CEO and nationally syndicated columnist (Florida Times Union-Creators Syndicate) Matt Towery had the following comments on the survey: “The Thompson jump to second place reflects the same movement which we found in our national survey of a week ago. The Clinton/Obama race continues to be a relatively tight one as more African Americans in Florida begin to drift towards Senator Obama. However, Senator Clinton has an overall strength among a broad group of voters and she continues to lead the field in the sunshine state.”
