The race for the 'biggest price' is getting closer By: Mark Warner 08 (I-AUT) - 2007-09-21 @ 14:57:27 Question: “If the Republican primary for president were being held today, and these were the candidates, who would you vote for?” Poll Demographics Republican primary likely voters Only Likely VotersConservative Other Men Women Rudy Giuliani 22% 23% 20% 23% 21% Mitt Romney 16 17 14 18 14 Fred Thompson 16 18 11 21 11 John McCain 15 16 13 11 19 Duncan Hunter 3 3 1 3 3 Mike Huckabee 2 2 2 2 2 Tom Tancredo 2 2 1 1 3 Ron Paul 1 1 1 1 1 Sam Brownback - - 1 - 1 Someone else (specify) 3 2 8 2 5 Don't know 20 16 28 18 20 About this Poll The findings in this report are based on a telephone survey of 2,003 California adult residents interviewed from Sept. 4 to 11, 2007. The sampling error for the total sample of 2,003 adults is +/- 2 percent at the 95 percent confidence level. This means that 95 times out of 100, the results will be within 2 percentage points of what they would be if all adults in California were interviewed. The sampling error for subgroups is larger: For the 1,511 registered voters, it is +/- 2.5 percent; for the 1,045 likely voters, it is +/- 3 percent; for the 455 Democratic presidential primary likely voters and the 353 Republican presidential primary likely voters, it is +/- 5 percent. Sampling error is only one type of error to which surveys are subject. Results may also be affected by factors such as question wording, question order, and survey timing Login to Post Comments |
