About this Poll
The CNN/Time poll was conducted by ORC International. In North Carolina, interviews with 1,019 adult Americans conducted by telephone by ORC International on August 22-26, 2012. The margin of sampling error for results based on the total sample is plus or minus 3 percentage points. The North Carolina sample also includes 905 interviews among registered voters (plus or minus 3.5 percentage points) and 766 interviews among likely voters (plus or minus 3.5 percentage points). In North Carolina, 762 interviews were conducted among landline respondents and 257 interviews among cell phone respondents.
