Herb Kohl (D) continues to enjoy a comfortable lead over his Republican challenger, Robert Gerald Lorge, 60% to 27%. Despite a previous run for the U.S. Senate in 2004 and a primary win in the 2002 race for Wisconsin Secretary of State, Lorge fails to make a definitive impression with voters. Only 32% view him favorably, 34% unfavorably and the remaining 34% simply aren’t sure what they think of him. About this Poll The telephone survey of 500 Likely Voters was conducted by Rasmussen Reports July 12, 2006.
