Wicker leads by 5 in MS

Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., is maintaining an edge over former Mississippi governor Ronnie Musgrove in their contest to fill Trent Lott’s former Senate seat, according to a poll commissioned by the DeSoto Appeal.

Wicker has a 5-point advantage, with 48 percent of voters surveyed Wednesday night saying they would vote for him. Musgrove, a Democrat, polled 43 percent, while 9 percent of the voters were undecided.
