About this Poll
The poll, taken Sept. 24-Oct. 2 – prior to Hassan’s Monday morning announcement – shows Ayotte leading 45 percent to 43 percent. But the margin of error is plus-or-minus 4.3 percent among the 519 likely voters polled, making it a dead heat. In all, 587 New Hampshire adults were polled.
