Analysis

The Virginia Governorship moves back to the Democratic column as part of the trend to move more red in the state. The Republican Party in Virginia is in the hands of the Tea Party activists who support the present AG. The AG used his office to promote his personal views over the needs of the citizens. This will hurt him with moderates and in bucking the trend to red as his views are in line with the Tea Party activists who support him.
