| Election Notes:
- John Albert Johnson would die on September 21, 1909. He was succeeded by Lieutenant Governor Adolph Eberhart, who served the remainder of the term.
- The 1909 Legislative Manual contains numerous misprints for this race. The original abstract gives the Jacobson total as 147,357 but all later sources give his total as 146,997, which is the sum of the county figures.
