| Election Notes:
- These are the initial certified results. Hunt challenged the results but the state Supreme Court ordered that Campbell be sworn in as governor until the litigation was resolved. Eventually, in December of 1917, the state Supreme Court ruled in Hunt's favor and he was sworn back in on December 25, 1917. The court ruled that the final results were Hunt 28,094 and Campbell 28,051, a margin of 42 votes for Hunt, compared to the original 30 vote margin for Campbell.
