| Election Notes:
- The 1885 House Journal appears to have a misprint for Calkins in Carroll County. The House Journal gives Calkins 2,297 votes there, but it appears the correct figure is 2,298. This is based on data from the 11/19/1884 Indiana State Sentinel (of Indianapolis) and the compilation Indiana Votes, which cites the 1886 Biennial Report of the Secretary of State.
