Alaska
From AtlasWiki
The responsibility for election services and administration of elections is at the state-level, performed by the Division of Elections (unlike most other states, Alaska does not have county-equivalent governments to provide these services). The elections division has four regional offices that each manage House Districts within a respective region as follows:
- Region 1: (Southeast Alaska, Kodiak, and Kenai Peninsula) House Districts 1-5, 33-36
- Region 2: (South Central Alaska) House Districts 13-32
- Region 3: (Central, Interior Alaska) House Districts 6-12
- Region 4: (Northern and Western Alaska) House Districts 37-40
The regional offices are responsible for the day-to-day voter registration activities throughout the State and for managing the conduct of elections for their region.
