Tough toilets, Snyder. Snyder doesn't get to run the state like a dictator.

Confusing thread. I was trying to figure out why a Marijuana initiative can't be on the same ballot as the race for Governor and Mayor.

Given our wonderful Attorney General's crusade against dispensaries, as well as the medicinal marijuana proposal that was passed by double-digits in 2008, this isn't surprising in the least.

It seems like he's going all-in with this moral crusade in hopes of running for Governor in 2018. This approach is completely tone-deaf to public opinion (latest polls show a plurality of Michigan voters supporting legalization) and recently-approved ballot measures (Detroit, Flint, and Grand Rapids all recently voted to decriminalize marijuana). He'll likely have a lot of explaining to do once he hits the campaign trail.

He'll probably win next year, though.
