I don't think this would be a good move, plain and simple!

Can we possibly consolidate all the VP Fiorina/Cruz announcement threads.  I can't keep up with them Smiley.

Cruz is obviously thinking correctly that Fiorina (who if you remember was the only person who got the better of Trump every single time) would help him keep Trump under 1,237. I actually think he is right there (she will raise so many issues - abortion flip flops, denigrating women, etc. - that Trump will flop in IN) and, in that respect it is a brilliant tactical move.

Unfortunately that ticket will NOT win the GE nor the nomination in Cleveland. But this does have the potential to stop Trump. We'll see.

For the first time in his life, Cruz may have taken one for the team - I am impressed!

1. I can't believe she is back in the picture.

2. Ugliest ticket ever.

3. This won't help him at all.

4. Very surprised a Kasich partnership didn't translate into a Cruz-Kasich ticket.

5. I can't believe she is back in the picture. She might be smarter than Palin, but if Cruz gets the nomination, she has got to be the least qualified VP nominee ever.

Cruz won't get the nomination. But if a Cruz-Fiorina ticket manages to stop Trump, we could see a Kasich-Cruz ticket emerge at the convention.

For the people who keep suggesting that Kasich should be in the VP slot....think this through please: why would he ever want to leave his position as a very popular governor of the most important swing state in the nation to become VP? Especially with Cruz or Trump who are toxic.

Note that I said Kasich-Cruz, not Cruz-Kasich. Smiley

you know, i just realized the stupidest part of Cruz's decision here isn't even that Fiorina is somewhere between useless and a joke. IF Trump were stopped on the first ballot (decreasingly likely, but if), Cruz has too few delegates or goodwill to likely get the nom on a subsequent ballot himself. what better way would he have to potentially gain a second or 3rd ballot win than offering Kasich to be his running mate in exchange for his delegates' votes?

What a doofus move.

Cruz needs to survive CA first, and maybe he thinks Fiorina will pick up some votes for him there. I doubt that will happen, but the man is desperate now. Anyway, job one is to keep Trump from winning on the first ballot.

Agreed. And he has to survive In before that. He thinks that Fiorina will help him (and it will take only one foolish and false gender based comment by Trump).

The one thing I feel certain about is that Cruz Fiorina will NOT be the ticket.
