Hmm...Likely a mayor, since Rendell and Booker were mayors, and likely of a large Northeastern city, so perhaps...

Newly elected Mayor of Newark Ras Baraka?

Just read up on him; he's  the son of a prominent radical activist and poet, and he has a lot of support from a diverse group of people. He's also made some gestures toward Wall Street and courting their support-much like Obama did leading up to 2008.

Not sure if this is correct, but that's my guess for now.

Lmao. Amiri Baraka's son is not getting anywhere close to the White House.

This is stupid, just tell us.

Lmao. Barack Hussein Obama jr. is not getting anywhere close to the White House.

This is stupid, just tell us.

Clearly you don't know who Amiri Baraka is.

Given the clues, Michael Nutter makes a lot of sense.

Except for the clue "can repeat the sort of comprehensive victory that Obama obtained in 2008"

You either aren't actually thinking of anyone, or the candidate you're thinking of isn't actually a good one.

OK, so far we know that this person is a female with a large position of power and prestige, and related in someway to Ed Rendell and Bob Casey Jr, but not necessarily in the most obvious way

Can you tell us wether this person is a Democrat or Republican?

I don't think we know for a fact that it's a female.

Final guess, Olympia Snowe

Lots of troll posts here *rollseyes*

It's really obvious once you think about it. (S)he already has a significantly large position of power and prestige.

Right. "(S)he" implies that it's a man or a woman.

Gully, can I tell them who it is already?  I've been dying to for weeks now.

Please do, this is getting to me
