As someone who works in banking, everyone loves the idea of regulations until it affects them and they see how ing stupid and costly a lot of them are.  I know that just oozes a stereotype, but it's funny to see that the evil bankers, the "rich" business owners and all of these other people who are talked about like they're mythical figures on internet message boards are actually just, ya know, people trying to succeed in whatever they're selling the public, and a lot of regulations drag them down with very little in apparent benefits for society.
