I can't wait till 80% of the forum will rate McCains acceptance speech as C-...MCSAME SUXXX....

Well, it'll likely be the anticlimax to balance out what Obama just gave.  So yeah, an average grade for an ordinary candidate.

I thought it was very good, because he did exactly how I would have done it.  He did everything I was hoping he would do, hence my high grade.

I guess everyone has different expectations.

But I really don't think anybody can deny that McCain has his work cut out for him.  No matter how much you thought tonight's speech sucked, it will hurt the Republican brand.

FOX's other commentator, some generic blond: "How many times have the Democrats gave this exact same speech in the last 20 years?"  "How can Obama go so negative on Obama and claim to be representing unity."  "This convention was only held in Colorado because it's a swing state"

Kind of like Hannity shifting the stick in his ass around a little bit "The country is doing great!  Not everybody has a subprime mortgage.. I mean, under Bush we have come out of the Clinton/Gore recession.. blah blah blah"

"We Republicans look at it as the glass being half full"

Yeah, "the glass is half full, and that half is MINE!!!!" that's right, Hannity.

And Colmes sat there like a doofus.

I think Faux News missed out on the fact that this unity doesn't include hardcore right-wing McCain supporters like Faux News.

Makes you kinda wanna resond with something snarky like "well, how can it be unity when I unify your face with my fist"

McCain isn't the current Republican brand.

I don't think the speech sucked, but he has done better.

I realize the Republican brand right now is pretty much "anything that will stop the jugular gushing"

Alright. I'm not gonna lie. It wasn't perfect but I really, really liked it. The B+ was an attempt to be objective.

Oh yes... and the illegal immigration line should have been left out... unless that was a pander to Hispanics. The truth is, most people feel that it would be better for a mother to be separated from her children than for someone to live here illegally.

Really?Huh?  I don't think anybody with half a heart would advocate separating a mother and child.  But many I overestimate the decency of people in general.

The media is practically cumming in their pants right now (well, at least MSNBC and CNN.) about the speech.
You just wanted to write the word cum.  But I agree.  CNN was pretty excited.

Whenever I hear the words "well, maybe they should have thought about that before..."  I turn off my listening ears.
