Not sure why I should have an opinion of that. I don't have an opinion of people who don't like pasta either.

The thing that people consider annoying about vegetarians is often not the lifestyle itself but the fact that many of them want to tell everybody how they are happy vegetarians.

The joke about the dilemma that a vegetarian who does Crossfit has - which one should he talk about first? - tends to be pretty accurate.

It is always the omnivores who make a bigger deal out of me being a vegetarian than I do, like they are scientists studying a rare species, or else immediately getting defensive about how if God hadn't meant us to eat meat he wouldn't have given us teeth.

Veganism can take a lot of effort if you are poor just in terms of what is available in a lot of places in the US.  Cheap processed foods with animal based ingredients are often more available than a good selection of vegetables and non-meat proteins, and easier if you do not have a lot of time to cook.

Effort is irrelevant in determining morality...

Often it is, but I was responding to the posters here (esp those on the other side of the pond where the economics of this are likely quite different) who were confused by the claim that poverty makes an impact on this.

I'm not sure I've ever met a single meat-eater who consistently buys from Certified Human sources...or even regularly does.
Human meat sources are typically left uncertified.

(good post tho)
