Bushie is there a reason you've turned so violently against President Barack Obama in the past few weeks? Do you blame him for your current unemployment situation?

His administration has been an absolute catastrophe for the country.  His policies are by and large devastating and debilitating to the country.  On top of that, he's too arrogant.  It's his way or the highway.  He expects every person in America to think like him and welcome his liberal, progressive, anti-Christian agenda.

What made you change your mind about him? Was it the declining employment rate? Or the surging GDP? Or maybe the quickly dropping price of gas? Or the ten million fewer uninsured people? Because you voted for him twice.

Lief, conservatives like ODF are not concerned with these menial accomplishments.  To please Bushie, consider...

1. Is that boy gettin uppity?

2. Is he trying to establish a theocracy?

If your answers are "yes sir-eee bob" and "but muh Jesus" you have a "catastrophe".

His administration has been an absolute catastrophe for the country.  His policies are by and large devastating and debilitating to the country.  On top of that, he's too arrogant.  It's his way or the highway.  He expects every person in America to think like him and welcome his liberal, progressive, anti-Christian agenda.

Let me guess:  Obama was the latest topic of conversation in a recent church sermon*, or with the aunt and uncle who stayed with Granny last week?

* b-b-but don't you dare take away our tax exemption!!

No, he hasn't been the topic of recent church sermons that I've heard or dinner table conversations that I've been a part of.

To answer Lief, the things you mentioned are good and I give the president credit for those.  However, with the more jobs, you do realize the majority of the jobs that have been created are not adequate, leaving the workers still largely underemployed.  I do realize that being underemployed is still better than being unemployed, but if Americans are still largely underemployed, the poverty rate isn't going to go down very quickly.  I also do not like his executive action on immigration.  That is not going to secure our borders and basically gives jobs and drivers licenses to illegal immigrants taking those away from American citizens who desperately need those jobs.  I also don't like his administration forcing businesses to cater to same-sex couples when they choose not to do so (for instance, the wedding cake bakery in Denver).  Any business should be allowed to be selective and to deny whom they serve, gay or straight, if they so desire.  It's a part of the free enterprise system we have in the United States.  There are several more things I find troubling in this administration.  I realize he cannot control what individual judges will rule, but still it reflects on him.

Scary that Bushie basically a communist on the Oklahoma political scale.

bushie, i know you are a student of severe weather, do you believe in global climate change, or is it a liberal conspiracy?

I do not believe in global warming, but I do not believe it is a liberal conspiracy.  I believe the world has natural warming and cooling cycles and that we are just in a typical warming pattern and that we will eventually cool back down.

You are a ******* horror on all levels, Bushie.  Jesus ****.

Tomorrow, I am going to wake up around 0730 and hop in the shower and get started on the job search for the week shortly after 0800.  I am going to call a recruiter that I was talking to on Thursday about trying to get an interview set up in West Tulsa either tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday.  I think she was out of the office most of the day, or all day, on Friday as I wasn't able to get a hold of her.  I'm hoping for a successful week to close out the month of January 2015.

So what?  Would you like to explain why any and all credible scientists are wrong on global warming but you are right?

Look, guys, I am not going to answer any more questions.  You all are trying to trap me and I'm not going to fall into your trap.

What trap?  That would be suggesting asking if business owners can discriminate based on their religious beliefs that woild mean they can discriminate based on other things is not fair game.  There is no trap here.  You are just stubborn when your reasoning is called out for being complete BS based on your personal feelings.  Wow!  What a shocking coincidence with  the people you are trying to defend.

Bushie you're posting a political forum. It's sort of expected that you defend your views, especially if they're ripped straight out of the George Wallace for President 1968 campaign platform.

The amazing thing about Update: Bushie wants to broadcast his entire life to the world, but then retreats to wanting it to only be mundane hour-by-hour schedules with pointless positive feedback.

Don't fret too much guys, he'll have totally different views next week.

Nah.  His crowd are true birds of a feather.  I can see them all now: discussing what travesty Obama has befell Murica this time in a circle in the church basement before they head out and watch the Super Bowl with a tall, frosty round of lemonades.

Bushie, I don't think your current avatar is right for you. You've expressed (a lot of it today), that you:

  • Oppose Gay Marriage

He came out in favor of that two years ago, didn't he?:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=171090.msg3669736#msg3669736

I am mistaken. His posting history does suggest he is not to big on the gays though.

I believe he's backtracked on that one.  Christians get ansy when they don't have someone to hate and blame their problems on.

Guys, we're in Bushie's radical right-wing idiot phase now. This happens every cycle. It's best just to ignore the nonsense until he has different "views" in a few months.

Perhaps a recent family game-plan has decided this the the angle they are going to take with politics for awhile.

Bushie should definitely marry a nice young Mexican girl. She'll be devoutly into Jesus and know how to make him plenty of Taco Salad.

A brown?  That might be worse than a negro in OK......but not worse than a gay.

Not worse than a black, Uncle Gramps.  I think they go with a basic sliding color scale.

Now a brown vs. a bone-ay-fah-dee Injun?  Now there's a challenge.

Hi, guys.  I certainly didn't mean to sound the least bit racist or bigoted last night. Although, bigotry is not necessarily a bad thing, but I digress.  The constant probing questions was getting to me and that no one was accepting my answers and leaving it on the table.  I was just trying to make a statement, yet we got led down the rabbit trail.  I'm certainly not a racist as is no one in Oklahoma.  I am appalled by the recent posts continuing to paint Oklahoma as unwelcoming to blacks and gays.  Everyone knows what was said is not true.  We have a big black population in Oklahoma and they are not discriminated against or targeted.  Gay marriage is legal in Oklahoma and most people I talk to outside my own family are becoming more accepting of the gay community.  We don't have to agree with them, but we accept them for who they are.  Sally Kern doesn't accept them, though, and has made headlines this week with a controversial bill.  I like Sally as a person.  She is a great Christian woman and loves the Lord and loves her family, but her views are too extreme for me.  She is so far to the right that she is not even in the mainstream in Oklahoma.  That takes talent.  Anyway, just had to put that out there.  I am not a racist and neither is my state.

Uhhhhh.... what?

EDIT: Didn't even catch the second bolded bit.

Bushie, this is the stupidest post in Atlas history.  Congrats.

I'm more interested in the claim that there are no racists in Oklahoma. Not one!

This claim shows Bushie has a severe disconnect with reality.  Get the man some professional help.

I got the solution... well, a full psychiatric eval is the solution, but solution for this particular phobia.

Bushie needs to purchase a slow cooker. A simple CrockPot can be had at the WalMart for about $20.

All he's got to do is dump all the ingredients in the pot, let it simmer for 4-8 hours depending on what it is and no worries. If he's too uh... paralyzed... he can go outside and walk around get some fresh air while it cooks.

That's actually a phenomenal idea -- crock-pot meals are insanely easy to make, feed you for a week and typically taste good! Jeff -- I've got a "Lite Slow Cooker" cookbook, if you need meal recommendations.

No no no.  This is too easy.  Jeff will have to find some reason that he can't do a crock-pot and needs to shove another month's worth of Braum's down his gullet.

Prove us wrong, Bushie.

We know where this is going.  Let's not up the disappointment by showing Bushie he can slow-cook bacon cheeseburger creations.

Good morning, guys, I am not afraid of cooking, I just dread cooking for one.  I'll get past that and be fine.

I like the slow cooker idea.  I have thought of that before, but just haven't bought it, yet.

And here we go... same with walking, dieting, actually learning to cook, and in the latest chapter... CROCK POT CONTROVERSY!  Will Bushie manage to make positive change in his life by placing foodstuffs in a pot?  Stay tuned.

Bushie, kidding aside, you can literally make burgers in one of these with little to no work.  I would hope that a fresh cooked burger at home for about $1 a pop will be more appealling than a $10 Braum's feast.

Crockpot -

1) Add 1 roast, some peeled carrots, onions and spuds.  - dinner for several days

2) Add a half a dozen chicken breasts and throw a can of cream of chicken soup or cream of mushroom soup over them - dinner for several days.

3) Add a pork roast and a large jar or bag of sauerkraut.   - dinner for several days.

It's not rocket science.

Is ODF open to veggies and mushrooms these days?

Guys, you might as well be speaking another language to ODF here, so unless you can furnish some slow-cook recipes that involve 80/20 beef, American cheese slices, ketchup and some assorted batters, it's best not to even try.

I don't see any reason a week's worth of taco salad/enchilada casserole can't be crock pot prepared.

I, for one, am excited about my cheat day for the Super Bowl. I'll probably eat an entire pizza on my own.

I'm not sure I can do that much, but probably half is a good bet.  If I were smart, I'd limit it at half.  We all know how smart I am...  Tongue

What do you like on your pizza? You've never eaten a whole one before? In college, we used to get the 7.99 dominos specials on Tuesday and sometimes I'd eat all of it, although that was 4 years ago.

Anyway, after a month of not having carbs at all, as good as I feel, I don't think I can watch the Super Bowl without pizza and beer.

I'm a straight pepperoni guy.  I've eaten a whole one before, but lately the farthest I get is 6-7 slices.  Depending on how I feel, I can do anywhere between 4-7 slices in one sitting.

I'll probably order a 2-liter of Pepsi while I eat the pizza.

Then, it's time to atone for my sins on Monday, first off at the altar of the dentist chair...

6-7 pepperoni slices?   Does it bother you at all that you are probably looking at a heart attack within 2 years?

So you're a doctor now?  When did you finish medical school?  Where do you work?

Wait, so I have to be a doctor to understand what's going to happen to you if eat 80% of a Domino's pizza in one sitting?

I was binge watching Breaking Bad all day and night Friday.  The parallels are uncanny.  It's been said before but it's completely true.

TBH I can eat 6-7 slices of pepperoni, and I'm not fat. I'm quite younger than he is though.

I'm basically the same age as Bushie,  and can pretty much do almst the same (though with actual Pizza and not the Domino's cardboard)   However,  unlike Bushie I exercise.

That's the thing, none of those slices are being worked off in any way at all.  It's productive dumps or nothing these days.

Has the Brown family ever been to the Cheesecake Factory? They are a chain that is well known for having extremely large portion sizes and calorie counts. Seems like it'd be their style.

No, we haven't.  And, we won't, either.  The last thing that Dad had before he was diagnosed was a piece of cheesecake.  I'm not a fan of cheesecake myself, so there's no need to go there.

Bushie, dia-beet-us is not like contaminated meat.  You don't catch it from one serving.

Haha, oh dear... Classic Bushie™.

I did not mean that the cheesecake alone was responsible.  It's just the last thing he ate before he was diagnosed.  The cheesecake was probably just icing on the cake (sorry for the pun).  We're still surprised he was diagnosed because he is not a sweets eater.  He eats sweets occasionally, but not as a general rule.  We all thought I would get it before him.

Anyway, I did not gorge myself at lunch and I've already decided for supper, I am just going to scramble a couple eggs.  I don't feel like a greasy, fat-laden hamburger tonight.

Okay.  I see.  So the cheesecakes kind of bring up bad memories.
