This certainly isn't over like I thought it was last night. Andrew made a strong comeback late in the night, and this race is pretty close again.

By my count, AndrewCT's headed for the narrowest of victories in the second round.

No, we are still in the lead.
I think that's an estimation, given who's still left to vote.

And also, June 2009 will still take the cake for the narrowest victory Wink

Blegh, this election has been terrible. You have a bunch of liberals bitching that they have no chance of winning (Kalwejt for VP, HappyWarrior for Senate) ever since the campaign season started, and now they all pull through and win.

Election have (hopefully) a consequences, Tmth Tongue
It's nothing personal against you. It's just extremely frustrating when we knew we'd have a tough fight while you guys blabbed about how you had no chance of winning. And where are we at tonight? A liberal victory.

I think the right certainly underperformed... And you can't blame the JCP for that!

Still, it's what, Fritz +4 right now? Out of 100+ votes? That's certainly no landslide. It's pretty close, and close Presidential elections are always interesting.

I didn't intend to blame the JCP in my post, bgwah. It's all on us. Your party had a vastly superior turnout machine this time around, especially given most expected my ticket to win. Kudos to you.

My point is, the writing for yet-another-collapse of the right has been on the wall for a bit, starting when Barnes won his race. I remember warning people behind the scenes that event was a sign of things to come. I was right.
The JCP has a great turnout machine. It's mainly better because all of their zombies are active members of the site, while the right has to depend on less-active members getting online during election periods.

As JCP Northeast Chair, I'm glad to see that sanity reigns in the Northeast again, as we have wrestled control away from the Populares political machine that up until just days ago was thought to have a stranglehold on the region. I wish Senator-elect Eraserhead all the best.

Yeah, I was such an awful Senator.
Yes, you were, simply because of the party you were in. Despite being a zombie who rarely posts anymore in the Atlasia section of this forum, Eraserhead will be much better.

(sarcasm, obviously)

I'd like to rescue Oakvale from under the bus. While others may be deserving of it too, Oakvale is one JCP member I know who is extremely pleasant and fun to work with, while also being respectful.
