Pot isn't covered at all in the federal healthcare bill. At least, I saw no mention of it. That said, if it is already sold over the counter, is there a reason why we need to have a bill like this? Presumably states cannot restrict the sale of pot because it is a legal substance.
If we want to amend the healthcare bill to include this provision thats fine, but I don't understand why we are fearful that pot will be restricted.
The law seems to be that regions can restrict it. I want to ensure that marijuana for medical purposes is not restricted. ZuWo already tried to ban medical marijuana alongside other members of your party.
It is a national interest to provide healthcare therefore the federal government is responsible for making the necessary treatments available. It is not up to the region's to decide what medically sound products are available or not. This is perfectly constitutional.
