I predict there will be three white men talking about how the gov't helps poor (read: blacks and hispanics) too much.
No, opposing redistribution does not make one a racist.

I just watched half of the Mississippi debate. Some of these guys are really bad about ah's, um's, and unusually long pauses.

The big issue on which I fundamentally disagree with the Libertarian candidates is immigration. But if Trump is the GOP nominee, I'll have a choice between a candidate with whom I agree on only immigration (and even then, I don't agree with everything he wants to do) and a candidate with whom I agree on nearly everything but immigration. I'll be choosing the latter.

So under what circumstances would the Libertarian nominee be granted a podium in a general-election debate? I heard that mentioned several times in the debate.

The current rule is 15% in national polls.

Yeah basically, but there is also the fact that the debate commission is controlled by the republicans and democrats. That might pose a problem.
With Trump as the GOP nominee and no "real Republican" third-party ticket, I could see 15% happening in a poll or two.

The closest alternative to Ted Cruz on the Libertarian ticket is Austin Petersen, watch the debate. He's principled like Cruz but has speaking skills of Marco Rubio. I could vote for him if the election came down to Trump vs Clinton.

That's not a good thing.
Speaking skills and debating skills are two very different things.

Isn't is a bit, Lilliputian, to be arguing over what effect the Libertarian nominee will have on their vote total? I doubt people put much thought into the candidate they are casting a protest vote for.
You bet they do, if he is really off putting.
