Probably Lincoln Chafee -though I have no idea on what issues he differed from the Democratic candidate in this race, and I don't know who Ken Block is.

Chafee was perceived as more liberal than the Democratic candidate in this race.  The race had been tight between him and Caprio, but Caprio ended up in third place after he told Obama to "shove it" when he didn't put in an endorsement.
