What it seems like this bill wants to do is create a Midwest Family Tax Deduction, and while I'm not a fan of deductions, I think the adamant-ness of my opposition goes down a little.

Either way, I think Adam's addition is actually good: Bill Gates' kids can raise their children just fine, they don't need an extra $100.

Well, I mean, if you really believed initially that my goal was to give pocket money, well, of course you're less hostile Tongue.

Oh and sorry, yep, friendly to Adam's amendment Smiley.

This sounds good to me. Though if a tax credit does the same thing but has less opposition, I'm cool with it.

I mean, I'd probably still be against it, but that's why I'm not here. I prefer a squeaky clean tax code Tongue

This bill definitely does have very good intention, but I offer a further amendment to include further details and regulations (the new stuff included is bolded and italicized).

How are you guys even going to enforce where the $100 is going to be spent?

I went a little further and read the second part, but that still doesn't answer my question.

But maxwell is Right, 5) is unenforceable.

If you look at Section 5, part a, it does that. The transaction will be required to be denied by the cashier/manager/owner if they're trying to buy something with government money that's prohibited from purchase under this bill. (In fact, I should probably put a provision about this in, to).

Alright, I'll withdrawal the idea, I guess.

If the aim of this bill is to help low-income, don't you reckon that $250k is a little high?

To be honest, what I wanted to do was more a tax break for people having children. Not only helping low income, but the middle class as well!
