http://www.chron.com/news/politics/texas/article/Open-carry-video-seen-as-threat-to-lawmakers-6061969.php

Open Carry Tarrant County head Kory Watkins seems to have turned a potentially sympathetic Texas Legislature against him, by demanding in a video posted on Facebook that Texas lawmakers turn licensed Open Carry, which they were soon to debate, into a unlicensed open carry, and threatened them with treason charges and execution if they did not. While Watkins did apologize, and attempt to explain the four minute long video, it doesn't look like anyone of any political stripe is taking it too seriously.

Cross-post it then... I see no reason why this shouldn't stand here.

Because it's a dumb non story and you are wasting valuable space on the forum with your threads.

Because that megathread was created specifically to avoid threads like this one.

It would actually be off-topic in that thread because he's not a non-federal politician.

No, the off topic section is off topic enough. We have a thread for all officeholders who say something stupid, so lets use it.

I realize the dude is only an activist, but it fits under the line "someone said something stupid".

This thread is necessary because open carry is a major political issue and it's becoming one of the most-reported issues in the TX legislature. You can try to get this thread shut down because it embarrasses you that someone from your side did this, but you will fail.

Badgate, I appreciate you trying to defend me... but that's only making things worse.
