I'll go out on a limb and say Charles will use the name King George VII, which would honor his grandfather King George VI.

It would also honor his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who is the daughter of George VI, his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, who was the wife of George VI, and his grandson, Prince George.

Prince Charles loved his grandmother very much.
This. His grandmother treated him very well. Elizabeth and Philip were too distant to Charles. His father was disappointed in his relationships with Diana and Camilla in the 1980s. He'll be Duke of Edinburgh if Philip dies.

I'm reasonably sure that's not how royal dukedoms work.

This, but I still don't see any reason not to go for a more classic Henry IX or Edward IX Tongue

Charles is Philip's eldest son. Therefore, Charles will be Duke of Edinburgh if Philip dies. William and George are in line to be Duke of Edinburgh as well. Otherwise, William should be king, he's popular than his father. After Diana's death in 1997, Charles has not been forgiven for his past deeds of the 1980s. He is good on climate change issues, however.

I looked it up and if Philip predeceases Elizabeth you might actually be right, but if she predeceases him, the sovereign can't hold peerages.

Charles was raised by Philip to be tough, manly, and strong. He wanted all of his children to be so. I believe his favorite child is his daughter, Anne, Princess Royal. She is very unorthodox for a princess. She rides horses and is very tough. Some wished that Anne would have been born first, in the old days, but the male heir, Charles, is in line no matter what.

I can see disagreements between Charles and Donald Trump regarding climate change and Muslim immigration when the two meet soon.

Actually, I believe it would be King Arthur I, As King Arthur and Camelot is simply a myth.

I was being slightly satirical.
