Endorsed, I think Dr.Cynic is the SoEA, so ...
I'd like to first off thank Barnes for his kind welcome back. We are indeed old friends and we worked together on many issues when we were both in the Assembly a couple years back.
I've been nominated to be SoEA. I'm not confirmed. In the instance that I am confirmed, I will withdraw from the race and more than likely endorse Barnes with a first preference.

As an interim representative, you have been fantastic. I see now why so many Atlasians were excited to see you return to the game. Good luck.

My proposed amendment to the constitution has flailed to reach the required 2/3 vote for passage. Below is a copy of the statement I just made on the assembly floor:
Quote from: Barnes on October 05, 2012, 10:52:06 pm
Yes, my amendment has failed. Ah well, perhaps the next assembly will be more favorable to it.
In the meantime, I'll look into have a citizens' intiviative amendment places in our constitution to allow citizens to directly propose legislation for a vote of the people - but not, I think, constitutional amendments.

Unfortunately, the Green Lobby never really made it off the ground. However, I would be open to restarting it in the future.
I did try to pass a cap-and-trade law when I was a Mideast Assemblyman, so I'd be quite pleased to work in something like it in the future.

Only in Atlasia would a politician forget to make a victory speech!
I would like to thank Poirot for making this an interesting special election and one where voters were given more than one option. I think he showed himself as a good candidate in this short, little campaign, and hopefully we'll see more if him around these parts.
I'd like to thank all of my kind and wonderful supporters who have been behind my campaign since day one. I will use this election victory as a mandate for the issues I feel will affect this region the most: the poor, the environment, and energy. I have already introduced legislation in the later two areas and will hopeful introduce some in relation to the former soon.
I thank you all,
Barnes

Your reelection is well-deserved. And don't let the low number of first preferences fool you; you had no fewer than ten second preferences, seven of them from Jones voters.
I wish you, Scott, and everyone else in the Northeast the best!

Haven't stopped by here in a while.
I feel like I've made some significant impact in my short time in the assembly so far and will hopefully continue to do so. I would greatly welcome any comments, questions, or feedback.

I will be running for re-election to the Assembly next month, so, I suppose I'll start revving this up as a campaign office again!
Anywho, I've greatly enjoyed my time in the Assembly and feel like that both my colleagues and I, as well as Governor Scott, have accomplished a great deal for the citizens of the Northeast.
