I'm always sort of surprised there are a larger percentage of gay republicans than gay blacks, when much of the GOP is rather explicitly anti-gay.

were are you seeing the percentage of gay blacks?

Yeah, I meant black republicans.

On a tangent, but I wonder who gay black Republicans voted for, and by what margin...

Without blacks, latinos, women, young people and gays, America would be such a horrible country...

Any country would be pretty horrible if it were made up entirely of old white men.

Well, most European countries are whiter and older than America and in many respects are better than it. I feel like old white American men are just a particularly awful bunch. I know, I'm obviously generalizing and there are tons of great old white American men... but...

Has anyone found one yet? I keep hearing stories about gay black Republicans, and I think they're just as legendary as The Yeti.

I often wonder, if there was a country of only males, and another country of only females, but each had identical governments, similar population and area, which one would be more successful?

Well, they'd both be dead in a couple generations, so the point is a bit moot.

I've thought about this before. I estimate the number of Gay Black Republicans in America to be about 250,000.

That's very high. Why do you say that?

310 mil. Americans. 13% are black = 40.3 mil

Let's say this exit poll is right and 5% are LGB. That's 2 million. So 250,000 would be 12% of that. And if 25% of white gays are GOP I think it could be 12% among Blacks.

a 12% ratio seems quite high, imo.

That would mean that a given black man would be more likely to be Republican if he is gay.

Agree with that. More likely to be estranged from the family and black cultural institutions in general. But 12% still seems high.

This is a reasonable hypothesis, but I striongly suspect that the possibility of their being less likely to vote Democratic due to such estrangement is far more than counter-balanced (and then some) by being gay.

Oooh, here's a quizzer: What's the prevalence off black lesbian Republicans?

Nah, the female country could import sperm. But they would have to abort all male fetuses, which is a horrible tought. The female contry would be more stable and peacefull and its financial sector would be more rational, but it would possibly be less dynamic and technoogically advanced. On the other hand women might take up other occupations and interests in an all female society.
Crime and violence would be very high in an all male society and they would be unable to reproduce.
