SLC hands down, and no, not because of gay marriage.  I've been to all three cities and SLC is far more pleasant than the other two.

Do you intend to ever return there?  That would affect my choice in this poll.

Do you mean the Vegas strip, or literally the city of Las Vegas? I've only been to the strip and it was interesting. I'd probably choose Salt Lake City, though.

The lady does not want to venture that far from home, so the answer is no.  If it were still just me, I wouldn't rule it out.

SLC, easily. And not just because I live there.

For starters, the climate's a lot better here. In SLC you can actually get snow (with access to several high-quality ski resorts). Las Vegas and Phoenix are in the middle of a desert, where snowfall is rare, and the summers are excruciatingly hot.

Second, Las Vegas and Phoenix have become massive cluttered sprawls, while the Salt Lake Metro has been fairly well planned-out in comparison.

Third, there are tons of high mountains here with lots of mountain ranges, which have access to skiing (as mentioned), hiking, and resorts.

And last, despite what outsiders think...SLC is actually quite liberal. certainly tolerable for someone like me. Tongue

Do you mean the Vegas strip, or literally the city of Las Vegas? I've only been to the strip and it was interesting. I'd probably choose Salt Lake City, though.

Hate to nitpick, but the strip technically isn't actually in Las Vegas - it's in the CDP of Paradise.

Anyway, I encourage more people to come on down here!

Las Vegas. I might have picked SLC if it weren't in Utah.

Learn how to fake a smile for photos! You are bordered by outrageous women in an attempt to solidify society's expectations that you find said women to be no more than symbols. Yet you don't seem satisfied - you have a wry smirk on your face that tells only one story - and that story involves pretending that you appreciate your aunt's taste in obscure dairy products that are nearly spoiled.

You are the Atlas's most prolific purveyor of the new dichotomy: Deeply Unsettling / Accidentally Hilarious.
