Never been diagnosed with either or seen a doc for it, though I feel like some of the questions on that test had some overlap with other conditions. For example, I have an actual diagnosis of OCD.

I do find it interesting how much more prevalent it is on atlas compared to the general population. While some of it is the selection effect, I think that test might also be overdiagnosing it.

Although it's hard for me to divorce anxiety and depression from ASD, because I experience a very unpleasant combination of these things on a daily basis.

No, and I scored 8 on the test. I know I'm not "on the spectrum" but I also didn't expect to score that low. Quite some of these questions were true for me as a kid, but not anymore. Can barely remember many of my friends' birthdates these days, while in elementary school I would know the birthdates of literally all my classmates. And please don't tell me it's Korsakoff now

No, not at all. Had an 8th-grade teacher openly speculate that I did, which led to a lengthy series of parent-teacher conferences. I check a lot of the criteria as a result of various other traits and issues, though, so I scored fairly high on the test, but I generally feel I'm giving the "right" answers for the wrong reasons. Social anxiety feels a lot like an inverse of what I've read about social interaction and Asperger's -- similar impairments in social relationships result, but it's more of a hypersensitivity to the possible negative beliefs and emotions of others, rather than an inability to interpret or predict them.

I won a science and mathematics competition when i was 14. I was top 10 in Australia for that age apparently.

Between that age and ending University, the maths-physics subjects were a walk in the park.

I would start academic years in classes in awe of how smart the other students sounded.

Then i would end the academic year thinking the total opposite.

When i did honours year in nuclear and geo physics, i finally met my match with students from that class going to Cambridge and Harvard the following yeara for a PhD, i went straight into the world of mineral exploration.

I would have been comfortable doing a PhD, but i wanted a break from monotonous research.

Having had my own children and watching their behaviour, i discovered i was an abnormal scientific bookworm at an early age.

My mental definition of the Universe in a euclidian geometric framework at the age of 9 was not passed on to the next generation unfortunately.

Hence i think i was on the mathematical genius spectrum but never knew it.

I don't know, and I've actually wanted to know for awhile as someone who's extremely introverted. I know I don't have Autism, but I looked up some of the symptoms of Asperger's, and I definitely fit some of the bills (limited range of interest, communication awkwardness). Though there is also a list of what kids with Asperger's suffer from (ADHD, depression, schizophrenia) and I don't suffer from any of them. So if I do have it, its not very severe.

My case exactly as well.  I discuss this in depth on AAD.  

I must not "suffer" from the two AA's, since I have pandemic interests (always have), and at this point in my life, have become quite extroverted (I think going full gay may have had something to do with that - it made me a happier person). I am not quite yet a social butterfly, but seem to be moving in that direction. So if you run across me, expect to be chatted up.  

I am not sure this "confessional" thread is a good idea either, but whatever.

No, and I was tested multiple times as a kid.  Today I'm a very social person, though.  My roommate in college had Asperger's and people would tease me, saying that both of us were autistic and that's why we got roomed together.
