I'd link to congratulate Bernie on turning the tide of this primary just by winning Rhode Island.  /jk

If you don't look in Rhode Island's general direction on the map, you can pretend that the map is contiguous.

McGinty has won. F##K! Congrats, Toomey.

Obama and Biden better work his butt off for McGinty. They own this race now.

Yep. If Toomey wins and decides control of the Senate, there should be a reckoning day.

Is McGinty really that terrible of a candidate?

She certainly isn't any better than Sestak. The last race she ran in she didn't even register in the double digits (Governor in 2014).

Nah, she's generic D. Really nice lady but a bit of a lightweight. It's far more about Sestak being an extremely strong candidate which was proven in 2006, 2008, and twice in 2010.

Wasn't Massachusetts already going to make the map pretty ugly?

Not if Clinton had won RI. Anyway, the map still looks okay, I think it would've actually looked worse if Sanders had won CT.

Eh, McGinty's not bad. With Trump at the top of the ticket, she'll win by about 4-5%. Bookmark this for the general.

"Bernie Sanders is never going to stop fighting for us" dang this is hilarious.

People need to start believe in themselves and not politicians. This is not a jab at Bernie, it's a jab at people who think he's a God who will always be there and can fix anything. I like that Bernie wants to encourage them to work hard and that he would do what he can to help. But there's no free rides.

How can people watch this show every day?  90% of it is just Cenk monologuing, making fun of Republicans and talking about how Republicans and Hillary supporters are stupid and Bernie-supporting Democrats are smarter than everybody else.  Insult, insult, insult.  It's like listening to some drunk guy at the bar go on and on and on about his simplistic political views (Republicans are idiots).  I don't know how I could stand it, even if I agreed with him 100% I couldn't listen to this all day.

If Clinton wins PA by enough, then yes, she probably carries McGinty over the top too, but I think Democrats definitely hurt their chances in a critical race tonight.

No, at least from a contiguity standpoint, because up until this point, no candidate had won an individual state that was completely isolated from any other state (nor did it appear that that would happen in any of the outstanding states in the West).

Now, SELFISH CLINTON's win in CT leaves poor RI completely isolated. This was also why I was rooting for either Clinton (or Sanders, because it would still adhere to the rule) to sweep IN, KY & WV, but it's all ruined now anyway. Cry

Yeah, it used to be a good show but has gotten really bad - glib, thoughtless, unfair, humorless.

The problem is all of the young "talent" are dumb, rabid, humorless hacks and Cenk has gotten really glib, basically they're like the high fructose progressive fox news and Cenk is not the fair-minded mildly thoughtful guy with a sense of humor that he used to be.

There is little to no Ben Mankiewicz anymore, by far the most reasonable and likeable person on the staff.

The segments are all TMZ style recitations of headlines from rawstory and huffpost.

You guys can do what most people with U.S. maps do... make the country's map small enough (or the border lines thick enough) that you can't even see RI Tongue

I don't know why I still tune in. I guess partly because of how easy it is to pull up their clips. But I really think that at this point I just enjoy seeing them meltdown.

@ryangrim
Apply grains of salt, but here they are:

CT
Clinton 51%
Sanders 47%

MD
Clinton 64%
Sanders 34%

PA
Clinton 56%
Sanders 44%

The exit polls have gotten their revenge for NY. Scarily accurate!

Since Sanders prevented a sweep and came somewhat close in CT, I don't think he'll be dropping out until June 7th, and since Clinton will likely be held to 11-12 points in PA, she has pretty much no chance of clinching the nomination before then.  Sanders could have a good May, but of course that won't make a difference.

Sanders camp released a statement tonight. Re-shifting from winning to making sure that every contest is contested and that they will fight for their policy points.

Maddow declared the race to be effectively over.

Oh, I saw this, it seemed pretty standard though.  He's not going to drop out and wants "issue-oriented campaigning" as always.

I would be terrified to be at a Clinton rally. Literally any time the networks cut away to one, you can hear "Fight Song" in the background. Jesus Christ: is there some sort of subliminal brainwashing technique to it?

That song rules. I work out to Rachel Padden.

It's a fine song. It's not fine to play the song on an endless loop at any and every campaign event, which is the impression I keep getting every time I see coverage of one.

Very late reply here...

They played tons of different songs at the event, but whenever she takes or leaves the stage they play Fight Song. That's why it seems constant.
