Wait, how is Rubio tied in California, but Sanders is up by 3 in New Jersey?

Sanders is a much better fit for CA and a horrible fit for NJ.

I'm enjoying this, but honestly I think your convention summaries have more details thant the actual conventions.

As a Republican, I would vote Sanders without a second thought if this was the matchup.

But good job on the timeline, you seem really dedicated.

Thank you very much!

Marco Rubio Campaign Ad
In an effort to win among voters who selected foreign policy and terrorism as the most important issue of this election. President Rubio's campaign broadcasts an ad echoing Ronald Reagan's 1984 ad titled There is a Bear in the Woods that was, at the time, promoting a strong national security against the Soviet Union symbolized by a bear. This ad is also similar to George W. Bush's 2004 T.V. ad titled Wolves that called for stronger national security against Al Qaida and international terrorism that were represented by wolves in this ad. It also reminds Rubio's 2016 T.V. ad that featured a cougar representing ISIS and calling for strong action against terror. President Rubio's ad features alligator, comparing this predator to ISIS and international radical Islamic terrorism. This ad attacks Bernie Sanders on his weak foreign policy and national security agenda that promotes cuts in the military and in security measures, which would encourage terrorists to commit more attacks against the United States and their allies. This commercial's main goal is to call on the American people to stay vigilant against the threat posed to the United States by radical Islamic terrorism (especially ISIS, Al Qaida, the Hezbollah, etc.) and to keep national defense strong to eradicate this threat.

The ad titled « Alligator » airs in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware, Connecticut, New Jersey, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, California, Oregon and the state of Washington

« Alligator » advertisement narration :

Narrator : In this time of terrorist threat, there is an alligator roaming in the rivers of the South just like jihadists are preparing to attack at anytime around the world. It is one of the most dangerous and deadly predators in America. But some refuse to speak its name.

On the alligator's territory, we can't afford to lack vigilance just like we can't afford to lower our guard against radical Islamic terrorism by cutting in security measures, in the defense budget, in military spending, in our military's modernization and readiness and in America's counter-terrorist intelligence operations like Bernie Sanders and the liberals in Congress are seeking to do, which will make our country an easier target for terrorists and give them opportunities to keep attacking us and our allies.

The alligator is preparing to attack his next defenceless prey.

But if we increase security on this territory, this threat can be removed, thus saving this kayak hiker's life, just like we can eradicate the threat posed to the United States and their allies by ISIS and international radical Islamic terrorism if we stand with our allies, keep our security measures strong, increase defense budget, keep reinforcing and modernizing our military, arm forces that we know are anti-terrorist and use all the necessary military arsenal to defeat radical Islamic terrorism, thus ensuring our victory against terrorists, saving innocent lives and protecting democracy, freedom, justice, integrity, security and peace.

These are all strategies followed by President Rubio, which made us safer that ever before and is leading us to victory against terrorism. That's why he is the only one who can get us there.

Marco Rubio Campaign Ad
In an effort to win among voters who selected the economy as the most important issue of this election, President Rubio's campaign broadcasts an ad narrating the strong economic growth of the last four years thanks to tax reform, small government, free enterprise, energy independence and free trade.

The ad titled « Forward » airs in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware, Connecticut, New Jersey, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, California, Oregon and the state of Washington.

« Forward » advertisement narration :

Narrator : Four years ago, the U.S. economy was living its slowest growth in America's history and was heading into a recession. This was caused by a drastic increase of government, higher taxes and regulations on hard-working American and businesses and dependence on foreign energy. Too many Americans were living under poverty and struggled to earn the opportunity to find a good-paying job.

But four years later, thanks to the pro-growth policies adopted by President Rubio, the economy is now stronger than ever before. President Rubio cut taxes for all Americans, including the middle class, and for all businesses in addition of doubling the child tax credit from $1000 to $2000, thus reinforcing their purchasing power and their ability to raise their families and boosting busineses' ability to grow, to expand, to compete, to innovate, to produce, to sell and to create jobs.

By promoting public-private partnerships to fund infrastructure projects, we developped new infrastructures across thiscountry, thus facilitating economic activitie and favoring the implementation of new businesses in America.

By putting an end to the War on Coal, reducing taxes on the energy industry, douling permits on federal lands and authorizing the construction of the Keystone XL, Dakota Access and TransAmerica pipelines, America took advantage of all of its source of energy and became energy independent, which brought masive job creation in addition of getting the revenue from oil drilling which a part is being invested into the development of renewable energies, favoring job creation and a clean environment.

By cutting our corporate tax rate from 40 % to 15 % and by lowering our taxes on our manufacturing indutry, we made our free trde deals fair for American workers and brought manufacturing jobs home. We ratified free trade deals with Europe, Latin America and India, which America the most competitive nation in the world economy thanks to lower tariffs, increased exports and lower costs for trade activity, allowing American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments and making America number one in auto production again.

As a result, 12 million new jobs are created, our unemployment rate went from 5.6 % to 2.6 %, the lowest rate in 50 years, wages are increased and the national debt is reduced almost in half. We restored America's status as the land of opportunity thanks to a strong and prosperous economy. Let's move forward by pursuing all this progress in order to get to full-employment and to make ure our children and grand-children will be the mot prosperou generations of Americans that ever lived. That is the way to expand opportunity, to keep our economy prosperous and to keep America strong.

August 8 :

He attracted blue-collar votes by highlighting his policies that cut taxes for manufacturing industry, which made free trade beneficial for American workers and brought manufacturing jobs back.

I love this timeline (despite it just being a wild fantasy), but a major point of free trade is that we have manufacturing happening internationally, so bringing it back is protectionist if anything Tongue. Unless I misinterpreted and you mean that Rubio’s policies spurred growth in new high tech manufacturing domestically, and greaterfree trade allowed American workers to specialise in that and outsource low-skill manufacturing (bringing manufacturing back from the dead rather than back from abroad) Smiley But cutting manufacturing taxes alone is pretty distortative (government arbitrarily favouring one sector rather than letting the free market work).

Honestly this presidency seems like a fairly good successor of Obama-Bush consensus policies in the best ways.

Honestly this presidency seems like a fairly good successor of Obama-Bush consensus policies in the best ways.

It keeps those jobs in America by making America the best country in the world for manufacturing business owners and workers to do business. And like I said, these policies actually benefits to all business sectors because one of the main reasons why America was losing jobs because of free trade is that America had the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world, which was 40 %. So by reducing it to 15 %, President Rubio made America the most competitive nation and made free trade more favorable to job creation in America by making it the best place in the world to do business, by lowering tariffs and by increasing international consumers' access to American products thanks to lower costs, thus favoring free market.

Thanks for your appreciation.

Marco Rubio Campaign Ad
President Rubio's re-election campaign broadcasts an ad attacking Bernie Sanders on his shifting positions, especially on foreign policy issues  and fiscal issues.

The ad titled « A Tale of Two Bernies » airs in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware, Connecticut, New Jersey, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, California, Oregon and the state of Washington.

« A Tale of Two Bernies » advertisement narration :

Narrator : Throughout his career, Bernie Sanders has been proven to be ready to say or do anything to win votes.

After he promised not to raise taxes on the middle class, Bernie Sanders adopted a health care plan that would raise taxes on middle class Americans through a new 2.2 % income tax on all Americans.

On March 2016, he called Merrick Garland "a strong nominee with decades of experience" for the Supreme Court before declaring, one month later, that he would fight to withdraw Garland's nomination at the Supreme Court if elected.

In 1998, Sanders supported the Iraqi Liberation Act of 1998 to restore democracy in Iraq and defeat terrorism there before shifting his position by voting against the Iraq War in 2002.

Senator Sanders opposed NATO expansion, arguing that it's a waste of taxpayer dollars and that it would result to provocation of tensions between NATO and Russia. And yet, on March 2017, he supported Montenegro's ascension as NATO member.

While claiming to be pro-Israel and while co-sponsoring a 2008 Senate Resolution reaffirming Israel's right to defend itself against terror, he has said, 9 years later, during an interview with The Intercept that he would « consider cutting U.S. military aid to Israel ».

In 2007, Bernie Sanders voted to release Guanatanamo Bay terrorists and allow them to be on the run once again and to conduct attacks against us. But after that, in May 2009, he changed his stance and was among the 90 senators who voted against shutting down Guantanamo before going back to his original position by opposing a 2013 bill to prohibit the use of funds for the transfer or release of Guantanamo terrorists.

Bernie Sanders, just another flip-flopping politician ready to change positions only to win votes, but wrong on both sides of the aisle.

Marco Rubio Campaign Ad
In an effort to win among voters who selected the foreign as the most important issue of this election, President Rubio's campaign broadcasts an ad narrating the reinforcement of America's national security through the rebuilding of America's military, the successful fight against ISIS and America's upper hand in the North Korean nuclear crisis.

The ad titled « Peace Through Strength » airs in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware, Connecticut, New Jersey, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, California, Oregon and the state of Washington.

« Peace Through Strength » advertisement narration :

Narrator : After years of strong terrorist threat caused by America's disengagement from the international stage, cuts in America's defense budget and lack of American leadership, which contributed to terrorist attacks against us and our allies, we finally put America in the right direction by committing ourselves to unconditional victory against terrorism.

By restoring American leadership, President Rubio kept us safe through an increase of the FBI's and the CIA's counter-terrorism budgets, through the reinforcement of our homeland security, through the growth of our defense budget, the rebuilding and modernization of our military, the strengthening and expansion of our alliances, the provision of weapons to the right forces in the Middle East thanks to bankground checks on them and military action against ISIS.

Thanks to the courage of our troops in Syria and Iraq and to the maintainance of America's status as the most powerful military in the world, we inflicted several defeats to ISIS, swept all of ISIS' territory and we eliminated their leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi. We eradicated radical Islamic terrorism in Afghanistan, killed Al Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahiri and restored peace in the region.

President Rubio's leadership helped America to finally take advantage against North Korea by sanctioning the international firm transferring money to Kim-Jong-un's regime, cutting off North Korea's crude oil supply, reinforcing our military presence in the Pacific, contributing to the creation of the Pacific Treaty Organization military alliance between the United States and their allies in the region, establishing an anti-missile shield shutting down any attempted nuclear attack by North Korea and by creating along with Japan the U.S.-Japan Cybersecurity Unit to counter North Korea's cyberattacks against us and our allies.

Marco Rubio Campaign Ad
In an effort to win among Hispanic voters and other minority group voters, President Rubio's campaign broadcasts a bilingual ad in English and Spanish narrating the beneficial effects of the adoption of the Opportunity Act and immigration reform while attacking Bernie Sanders on his pat oppoition to immigration reform.

The ad titled « Opportunity » airs in Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, New Jersey, Illinois, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, California, Oregon and the state of Washington.

« Opportunity » advertisement narration :

Narrator : For long years, immigrants across America were living in the shadows, under poverty and struggled to find a good-paying job. Immigration restrictions mean higher labor costs, and this makes companies less competitive at home. Some businesses close due to these costs and others move overseas, taking jobs for both natives and immigrants with them.

Despite all of these struggles, Bernie Sanders has opposed immigration reform by voting against the Immigration Reform Act of 2007 and by voting against guest worker programs.

As the son of Cuban immigrants, President Rubio understands the struggles and concerns of immigrants coming to America and made immigration reform one of his top priorities in order to keep America safe, to strengthen our economy and to make the American Dream accomplishable again for all Americans. He brought both Republicans and Democrats together to secure our borders and to reform our immigration system thanks to the adoption of the Opportunity Act, thus granting U.S. citizenship to immigrants across this country and restoring the American Dream.

As a result, we allowed them to earn the opportunity to have access to higher education, to find good-paying jobs and to raise their families here on the land of opportunity. It brought more innovation and ingenuity in our workforce due to immigrants' knowledge about artificial intelligence or robotics that spurs innovation by the sponsoring tech firm. These innovations are benefiting consumers, and helping the tech firm compete with rivals in other countries. Immigration reform reduced labor cost in America, thus making our companies more competitive and strengthening our economy. The hard work of immigrants will help them to accomplish their American Dream here on the land of opportunity where the impossible becomes possible.

That's why President Rubio will keep defending our values as well as opportunity for the sake of the American Dream.
Marco Rubio : I'm Marco Rubio and I approve this message.

Marco Rubio's Presidency
September 2020, Part 1

President Rubio's job approval rating :
Approve : 66 %
Disapprove : 31 %
Unsure : 3 %

September 1-3 :

-Since iron ore is among the products that North Korea exports the most and brings an important part of the revenues North Korea needs to develop its nuclear arsenal, China has decided in order to derail North Korea's plans to halt imports of iron ore from North Korea, thus increasing sanctions against the regime of Kim Jong-un.

-Due to North Korea's impoundment of Chinese fishing boats and to the North Korean nuclear threat, China has decided to join the U.S. Navy in the Pacific by reinforcing its navy's presence in the East China Sea in order to prevent any aggression by North Korea.

September 4 :

-Chinese President Xi Jinping visits Washington D.C. where he meets President Rubio at the White House where he informs the U.S. president of China's recent bold actions against North Korea. During their bilateral press conference at the White House, both leaders express their optimism and declare that thanks to their countries' and their allies' mobilization against North Korea through sanctions and through the modernization of their militaries, North Korea's economy as well as its military power and its nuclear arsenal are drastically diminished, which will allow peace and stability to be finally restored in the Korean peninsula soon enough. President Rubio declares that it's through persistence that the United States and their allies are going to force North Korea to back down, which requires the continuation of the efforts given against Pyongyang.

September 6 :

-President Rubio campaigns in Des Moines, Iowa where he reminds voters that Des Moines has been ranked among the top 10, including sometimes in first place, of the best cities in America to do business by Forbes Magazine for many years, which is due, notably, to strong educational attainment (with 36 % of Des Moines' population who has a college degree and 92 % of this city's population who possesses a high school diploma) and also because energy costs here are 22 % below the national average, the cost of living in Des Moines is 10 % below the national average and business costs here are 18 % below the national average, the moreover that economic growth here outpaced the U.S. as a whole by 68 % since 2010. President Rubio ties this to the strong economic growth America is living since 2017 thanks to his pro-growth policies promoting free enterprise, tax reform, small government, energy independence and free trade, which created 12 million new jobs. He attacked Bernie Sanders by declaring that with the Vermont Senator's big government's agenda raising taxes on hard-working Americans and businesses, restricting energy production as well as free trade, this strong economic progress in the last four years would not have been possible.

September 8 :

-The overwhelming majority of ambassadors in the United Nations, including U.S. Ambassador Dan Coats, officially announced their support to France's plan to create a 10-nation defence coalition with European countries, including France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Estonia in order to combat radical Islamic terrorism in Mali.

September 9 :
-President Marco Rubio campaigns for Cory Gardner in Colorado where he slams Gardner's Democratic opponent John Hickenlooper on his record of restricting coal mining during his time as Governor.

September 11 :

-President Marco Rubio and his family arrived in New York City, New York where he addresses family members and friends who lost loved ones on 9/11 in the context of the first 9/11 anniversary since Ayman al-Zawahiri's death. He highlights all the progress made in the last four years to combat terrorism and declares that Al Qaida's and ISIS' annihilation is imminent, which  will « our children, our grandchildren and future generations to grow up in a safe and peaceful world. »

September 12-13
-President Rubio campaigns in Oregon and the state of Washington on economic issues, trade and national defense.

September 15

-President Rubio starts his debate preparations during which Ohio Senator Rob Portman plays Bernie Sanders' role ahead of the first presidential debate that will be held on September 29.

Can you cut to the chase already and do the election?

This is probably the best-written timeline on atlas. Elections aren’t just makes even if that’s the best part

Thank you so much.

Hi, I'm a Moderate Democrat personally, but I would just like to say thank you UWS. This TL I believe is an optimist view of a Rubio Presidency, but it is good none the less. I would like to say that not everyone on the left is a pariah who thinks anyone farther to the right is a Fascist. Much like how not everyone farther to the left then you or I is a communist.

We need to focus on accepting each other's views even though some people may think this TL is a bit crazy. I think Rubio would be a good President (better then Trump for sure Wink ) however I think that some of those midterm gains were a little optimistic. Anyhow, it is still a great TL so don't give my fellow Gander UWS a hard time about it.

To those who don't like this TL, don't read it if you don't like it. I think we should just let Mr.UWS do what he thinks would happen, and if we don't agree you can make your own timeline for a Rubio Presidency. Maybe in your timeline Rubio loses to Hillary or Bernie in the General Election. Well I've taken a space out of your page I just wanna let UWS know he is doing a terrific job and that you guys can read or don't it's your choice. Peace Smiley

UWS instantly jumps up to a tier of hacks higher than any other on the forum if he thinks that Republicans could avoid a Democratic Wave in 2022 in this timeline.

Well, let me tell you this, Solid4096. If I'm a hack, why is this that you think the gubernatorial race in Connecticut of 2018 is Safe D while it is rated Lean D and Toss-up since a poll indicated the Democrats' lead as weaker than usual and another poll showed the Democrats trailing the Republicans by 5 points in Connecticut?

So I have no lectures to receive from a guy who has been proven himself to be a hack when it comes to an election.

He also thinks Rubtard could have a 70% approval rating, the Republicans could win a California Senate race in a Republican midterm, and that Gavin Newsom, Kate Brown and Jay Inslee would be Rubtard supporters.

It is fair to this timeline for what it is - pure fantasy.

Well, let me tell you this, Solid4096. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connecticut_gubernatorial_election,_2018#Predictions

So I have no lectures to receive from a guy who has been proven to be a hack when it comes to an election.
1. I am not Solid4096.
2. I rate CT-GOV Lean D due to the weak GOP field.
3. Professional predictions are not relevant to my ratings.
4. This timeline is unrealistic. Rubio is an unpopular and controversial Senator who would not have a 70% approval rating.
5. Hispanics vote Democratic 70-30. Rubio being Hispanic would not instantly flip the vote.
6. Republicans would not pickup 11 seats in a Republican president's midterm. 9 out of 10 times, the POTUS'S party loses Senate seats. Realistically, they would maybe manage a 2-3 seat pickup in their best case.
7. You think Feinstein could be unseated by Condi Rice.
8. Liberal governors would not endorse a far-right Republican.
9. The stock market would likely crash in 2019/20, severly hurting President Rubio's chances.
10. Rubio would not perform so well in the debates. You basically have Bernie not even responding to Rubio's claims, when obviously he would.

Basically, you consider Rubio to be a FDR/Washington level president, even though he would not be a good president. This timeline is actually creepy in its insanity.

I included Solid 4096's quote in my answer so I was talking to him, not to you, MassGuy.

As it is written at the top of this page, if you don't like this thread, just don't read it so respect my point of view. I tell you this because I am sick and tired of the defamation of Marco Rubio by the far-left and by communists like you. This is a good man. He's a great husband, a great father. He loves all the American people from the bottom to the top and from the middle to the sideline. And he is a great president for all Americans.

This timeline is actually quite realistic and is admired by the overwhelming majority of the members of this Atlas. Rubio is clearly a better leader than Trump and has more experience than him and that's why his leadership made America's future bright through a strong economy and strong national security and a strong national defense. And the reason why he's winning among Hispanics is because he is himself an Hispanic and because he reformed America's broken immigration system, which granted U.S. citizenship for immigrants across the country. The moreover that free enterprise is the only economic system that helped Hispanics to prosper. Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders wants to dismantle this system by increasing the size of government. That's why President Rubio wins Hispanics. So have some respect.

And you know very well that I can denounce you to the moderators for harassment.

Why did you move the debates again?

Because you are trying to restrict my freedom of speech by harassing me over and over again by not letting me do what I think would happen. That is a great rationale for you to be denounced to the moderators if you keep harassing me. I guess you did not read the reply #975 at the top of this page that tells you to respect my opinion and not to read this thread if you don't like it. So you should be ashamed of yourself.
