Whenever I hear Republicans talk about "moving to the center" or "ditching the loony left", what they usually mean is that.

Yes, we should. Let's move to the "center"!

We shouldn't be happy until there is complete plutocracy and  James Dobson/Tom Delay have control over every American's personal life!

Hell no.  This is not what is meant by moving to the center at all.  Robertson and Falwell are two of the craziest people in this country today.  Anyone who blaims 9/11 on gays and abortionists has completely lost it.  I actually met Falwell when I was at Boys State.  It was held at Liberty University in Lynchburg, the college he started to mold other people into likenesses of himself.  It's almost as bad as Bob Jones University, but the campus is uglier.  I'm embarrassed that these people hail from the great state of Virginia.

Yeah, see, moving to the center means dumping loons like Scoonie who think tax cuts cause plutocracy, and "corporate interests" are something to be scared of.

Corporate interests that rob the economic futures of millions of Americans are definitely something to be scared of.

Republican economic policies lead to outsourcing, decreased competition and further monopolization, giving the American worker less and less power over their economic futures.

Corporate greed tied to political corruption will be the undoing on this great country.

Corporations are not allowed to rob people. They are allowed to trade with people in the free market, and in doing so they have greatly improved the qualify of life for the avergage American.

All progress comes from unemployment. When the United States was founded in 1776, it took 19 people working on a farm to produce food for 20. Now it's down to about 1% of 2% to produce that food.

Just think of all the supposed unemployment that should have caused. But of course, in reality, that's not what happened. What happened was that people who had formerly been tied up in agriculture were free to do something else—corporate interests that, as mentioned above, have greatly improved our quality of life.

There are two types of greed. One is destructive, and one is creative.

So the Democrats should dump everyone with a political compass to the left of -3.75 Economic and -3.18 Social?

Opebo has a positive economic score. The PC is a joke.

I guess you don't think the average American goes to Wal-Mart, McDonalds, Bob Evans, Holiday Inn, or any other such places.

High wages and overzealous union labor are what lead to outsourcing. The former is increased by the latter. Which party is more likely to support the latter?

Wow, that's ridiculous. You really don't believe what you just wrote, right?

It's amazing how much the right has brainwashed their supporters on economic issues.

Uhhh . . . hello?  Unions do more harm than good.  Why do you think more and more companies go without unions?  The benefits are too high, too many restrictions on work conditions, and work stoppages whenever the union isn't happy.  It chokes the ability for the company to grow and modernize, which inhibits their ability to compete.  Therefore, the market demand is picked up by companies who have the freedom to move and adapt to the higher output requirements, which normally are overseas companies.

Corporations move overseas to take advantage of slave wages, pure and simple.  Unions or no unions, you can't compete with that (nor would I want to).

The U.S. needs to enact some type of protectionism or the economy will continue to go down the sh*tter for those not in the top 10% income-wise.

Maybe we should outlaw calculators. Just think of all those mathematicians we put out of business.

College Calculus courses sometimes don't allow calculators.
