PiT -- 272
HappyWarrior -- 266

I think a lot of Southern states would be very close.

Feel free to pick my map apart. Tongue Also, I did the map this way because NDN's support of lower tariffs & opposition to a federal minimum wage consign his campaign to death in union areas.
I might oppose high tariffs but I lean more towards the 'Fair Trade' position than just Free Trade. Basically I'd run on reforming NAFTA and including environmental and labor standards in any agreements. I'm similar to Obama or Huckabee on this issue, actually.

Yeah, I had a hard time deciding how union areas would fall here. I ultimately figured that they would probably go to Constine, not only because of tariffs, but also because they tend to be more traditionalist. Since neither you nor he are totally pro-business, I figured that social issues would push them into his camp.

It would be a pretty bizarre race. Considering my federalism and strong conservative stances on issues like crime, school choice, gun rights, illegal immigration, etc. I think I'd probably at least get PA to be a toss up though.

Unfortunately AKSaber's views don't play well with a lot of America.

Yeah, PA probably would be a toss-up. For that matter, FL, MI, MN, & VA would probably be close as well.

HappyWarrior - 271
PiT - 267

The Dakotas teeter on the edge all night and finally both fall to HappyWarrior be razor-thin margins, giving him the election.  This change reflects HappyWarrior's focus on Midwest campaigning, while his competitor is split between trying to gain ground in the West and Northeast and trying to keep a hold on the now weary Midwest and South.

You're getting at something with this map that earlier people didn't. Due to my libertarian views, I would probably do much better in the Northeast than in the South. I don't think other regions would be nearly as strongly affected though.

     Anyway, here's a map.

GM3, green, 443 EV
Fezzy, blue, 95 EV

As the more moderate candidate, GM3 wins in a landslide.

Happy Warrior's views play very well in the Rustbelt and parts of the Midwest. His position on gun control and a few other issues however prevents him from gaining in the west.

You support banning 'assault' rifles and registration/background checks. Sorry but just because you don't support banning hand guns or rifles doesn't mean you're not for gun control. Unless you changed your position last time I checked.

No, I thought you were going by when I supported banning handguns.

Fair enough.

Your position is ironically more commonly held, but a lot of places would view the federal government getting involved period negatively.

As the country is not ready for the significantly more left-wing Angry_Weasel, Ronnie wins in a landslide.

Pit is slightly more socially progressive in this 1 on 1 primary type of situation.

The physicist wins, despite being weak with rust-belt cultural righties.

Captain Mike 356
Angry Weasel 182

Even in HI they aren't angry enought to vote for the Angry Weasel.   Captain Mike's service to his country and moderate views take the day.
