I do have a reason for doing this, a potentially interesting one, but you'll have to answer first.

Yeah, I know there are no other poll options when there could be some, but that's intentional.

Please post (that's really the important part).  And no "between options."  Please just pick one.  Or I'll never love you again.  Thanks!

I can't vote, but I put my opinion based on how I would have voted in the past.

Strong Democrat. I don't support Democrats because they're Democrats, but compared to the crazy, far-right Republicans that always run against them, I don't really have a choice.

So, in actuality, more of a Strong Anti-Republican.

Lean Democrat, and I believe my voting record as well as my positions on the issues would illustrate that.

Lean Republican even if I haven't "leanded that way" since the 2002 Congresional Election.

Reluctantly [lean] Republican. I disagree with them on most everything but economic issues, but I’m a black helicopter sort of person, so the Democrats are not a good fit for me either.

lean Democrat

Currently I side with the Democrats on most issues but there are a few economic and social positions where I diverge from the Democrats.  Also, I have been heavily influenced by the incompetence of the Bush administration as I've only been politically aware for about 2 years now.  As a result I'm very much anti-Republican but I could realistically see that changing in the future.  Thus, I choose to remain an independent even though I agree with the Democrats for the most part.  My decision to identify as an independent is also an effort to prevent self-sabotage.  I know myself well enough to realize that if I tie myself too tightly to one group I'll become more close-minded and less likely to be open to the other side's ideas.  So, in order to maintain an open mind I need to be an island.

Lean Democrat, in terms of ideology, but in terms of who I would vote for, it's probably only slightly more Democrats than Republicans

Swing, but it has to be a good republican candidate to swing me.
At least this week, who knows next week?

People who say they have never supported the other party disgust me, vote people not party!

I do (will, not 18 for another month): it just so happens that I don't agree with any of the policies of the Republicans. And I think most of the others who have only ever supported one party will agree.

So your telling me that of all the people you vote and support (meaning all across the country down to local races) you cannot find a Republican you like?  Hard to believe

I like plenty of Republicans. But I vote on whether or not a candidate will champion the issues that I care about, not their personality.
