Poll Demographics

About this Poll
Cell phone and home phone respondents included in this research. 2,440 adults from the state of California were interviewed by SurveyUSA 03/29/12 through 04/02/12. Of the adults 1,995 were registered to vote. Of the registered voters, 439 were judged to be likely to vote in the 06/05/12 California Republican primary. This research was conducted using blended sample, mixed mode. Respondents reachable on a home telephone (71% of registered voters), were interviewed on their home telephone in the recorded voice of a professional announcer. Respondents not reachable on a home telephone (29% of registered voters) were shown a questionnaire on their smartphone, tablet or other electronic device. Consistent with previous research-on-research conducted by SurveyUSA, cell-phone respondents are more Democrat than are home-phone respondents, as seen in the crosstabs for the head-to-head presidential matchups.

MoE: +/- 2.2%
