Reform Party of Washington
The Reform Party of Washington is a minor political party active since the 1990s.
History
Ross Perot received 8.92% of the vote as a member of the party in the 1996 Presidential Election. No other Reform Party candidate has ever made it to the general election ballot for a major statewide office. In the 1998 election for Senator, two Reform Party candidates challenged Patty Murray, but neither obtained the required 1% minimum in the primary for moving onto the general. Perennial candidate Mike the Mover fared best with 0.63%, while Steve Thompson received 0.32%.
Perennial candidate Will Baker began running as a Reform Party candidate in 2008. In the 2008 election for Governor, Baker came in eighth place with 0.36% of the vote in the primary. In the 2010 election for Senator, Baker came in twelfth place with 0.35%.
