Three special elections are taking place this weekend, starting
Friday, February 22, 2019 and lasting through Sunday, February 24, 2019.
In the South, Federalist candidate Young Texan and Peace candidate Spiral are vying for control of the Southern governor's office, left vacant as a result of tmthforu's victory in the presidential election last week. In Fremont, Federalist AustralianSwingVoter is a candidate for the Fremont Parliament seat left by RFA09's recall in last weekend's elections. Finally, in Lincoln, the tied Lincoln Class I Senate race is proceeding to a runoff vote between Federalist LouisvilleThunder and Laborite tack50.
In addition, a number of amendments will be on the Lincoln ballot this weekend, including the Philadelphia Plan, a constitutional amendment to reform Lincoln's political system. You can read more about these in wxtransit's
thread. Federally, the
Vice Presidential Confirmation Amendment and the
Activity Standards Amendment will also be voted on this weekend.
