Am I correct that going from DC to NJ goes through all of MD's CD except MD-6?

In general, yes, but it also depends on which way you go.  Going Balt-Wash Pkwy, rather than I-95, would bypass MD-7.  Likewise if you left D.C. by going generally southeast or due east rather than northeast, you might have missed MD-8.  But Districts 1 through 5 would be unavoidable.

Yep.  Little did I know traveling on the west side of the Washington beltway (I-495) puts you in VA-10 as well.

WA - 1,2,4(home),7(school),8
OR -1,2,3,5
MI  - 3, 6, 7, 8, 11, 15
IN -1, 2
IL- 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 14(not exactly sure on this, Chicago districts are weird)

Depending on the main roads, I suspect you may have been through more in IL. If you drove between O'Hare and either downtown or on the Tollway you also passed through IL-5 and IL-9. If you went south on the Tri-State tollway (I294) from O'Hare or if you used I-88 to get out to IL-14 then you passed through IL-13.

My list is pretty small, especially since I live in New England. Keep in mind, though, that my time spent in the first two on this list represent about 97-98% of 2011.

CT-01 (home)
CT-02 (school)
CT-03 (wedding reception)
CT-05
MA-01
MA-02
NY-20 (spent a few days in the Adirondacks, hiked Marcy, Haystack, Basin, Saddleback - wonderful!)
NY-21 (trip to Ads)
NY-23 (trip to Ads)
