I'm honored to accept my nomination.

My apologies. I just finished my holidays, which were...erratically-scheduled.

I think our top priority now is to adopt a policy platform.

Seatown- the Introduction to Atlasia 2.0 thread has a lot of good information for newbies here.

Caucuses are a relatively new thing here, and they are subordinate to parties- you must join the party the caucus is part of in order to join the caucus.  You registered as Independent- Social Democratic caucus.  To be an official member of this caucus, you must register as JCP- Social Democratic caucus.

Elections for President coming up in February...glad to have you aboard!  Smiley

Oh, I thought caucuses worked like they did in US Senate/House where they were independent of parties.

So if/when you guys become a party, can your name be "Social Democratic Union" or "Social Democratic Alliance" or something else not ending in Party? We've had too many SDPs!!! Wink

SDA was already used once, too. "Social Democratic Union" or "Social Democratic Federation" or "Social Democratic Movement" would all work. Wink

Just as an outsider, I'm always a fan of putting "Union" in the name of things. It's under-used! Tongue

I prefer "Movement for Social Democracy" but whatever.

Also I think we should create a party logo. What do you guys think it should look like?

Perhaps we could use that as a base, but I think that it's too reminiscent of the UDL's logo. I think we should try something new.

I feel a bit worried by the fact Nathan hasn't showed up in recent days. It would be a shame if the caucus died out just when we are about to become our own party.

Can it not be Social Democratic whatever? We've had enough of those in Atlasia. Labor Party rolls off the tongue nicely.

Atlasia's never had a Labor Party, to the best of my knowledge. It's had many parties that were called Social Democratic.

Didn't we vote on that a couple months ago ?

The main issue now is, I guess, getting the chairman to work. Tongue

Since the issue of a party color has been raised, I'd like to propose fuchsia. We already had left-wing parties using red, bordeaux and orange. It's time for fuchsia ! Smiley
