The past 2 days I've woken up to something tragic on the news

Yesterday was the plant explosion in Texas and today, this. Unbelievable.

The strange thing is, lots of people on reddit claim that they heard the police use Sunil's name over the airwaves on the scanner. I don't think the photos look alike, but the situation is really... wierd.

Pete Williams on NBC said they are from the Caucasia region (Chechnya, Turkey, around there)



And yeah, they have confirmed it's definitely not the Brown student.

Now one reporter on CNN is talking about another situation by some abandonned taxi at an intersection. This night has been crazy.

My Understanding is that Chechnya's a bit of a breeding ground for Islamic groups. But groups like the Caucasian front usually just attack places in Russia.

Chechen military resistance to Russian colonial occupation has had a strong Fundamentalist Islamic streak since it's earliest days in the 19th century. Writing a long argument about how x naturally leads to y in this world we live in would break my time budget right now.

Hey, no worries. I'm just very curious about what went down at MIT, the school. My theory was that maybe they had gone there to plant an explosive for tomorrow and then got caught by the now-deceased officer, but I don't know if that makes sense.
