Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: 8.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.21

Continuing my march toward Libertarianism. I went down from 1.97 on Social to .21 and I have stayed right around the same place in economic.

Closest person to me is Milton Friedman.

Economic Left/Right: -8.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.85

I don't think of myself as a Populist, perhaps it just the way some questions are asked.

A populist would be left-wing economically and right-wing socially. You're a hardcore liberal.

I've taken a pretty hard shift on both indicators from my original test.

Economic Left/Right: -1.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 3.18

But both times I've taken this test (and other tests), I've come out as an authoritarian leftist.  One test still labeled me as a "Strong Republican" despite being an economic liberal because of my really conservative social views.

Anybody else got any labels to arbitrarily attach to me?  (BTW - I'm a registered Republican, I vote primarily Republican, and that won't change.)

Not quite as economically liberal, but similar all the same.  Is there a viable US third party that reflects such views (ie: I don't view Communists as viable).

I think taking the test everyday and having the results change ends up flawing the results and not showing your true place on the compass. I test myself maybe once every 3-4 months.
