by these rules, Mr. Reactionary's vote shouldn't be counted, if there was any doubt that it shouldn't.

I don't think it should count against him as he was making a clarification of who he is on the ballot, when Peebs did not.

The rules as printed were quite clear regarding TimTurner's vote - the voting period starts at midnight between Thursday and Friday, which means that it is the exact moment between the two days, not the minute. The period ends exactly 72 hours later, meaning that it ends at the exact moment between Sunday and Monday, not at the minute. And a vote is only "cast" at the moment the /FORUM server registers it. I don't like this, but it's clearly the rule.

Your vote, on the other hand, is being counted by the reasoning you stated above. Bagel's is not because he was clearly aware of the rule in advance of his vote, and did not attempt to distinguish either of his votes from a ballot.

Jake's vote is obviously invalid.

I argue that Justin's vote is invalid by the rules as set out in the ballot, but if that isn't binding then IDK.

As for my client, we will likely file for mandamus on the grounds that my client submitted his ballot at 11:59 pm and that the slow atlas server took half a minute to register it. The timing of the vote clearly show more than 33 seconds worth of effort. My client submitted his ballot on time, and it was the voting booth itself which caused the issue. It was an act of DAVE not human error on Tim's fault. Circumstances outside of our control made  the act of voting impossible when it legally was required to be possible. It is as if a poll worker refused to accept your paper ballot while the polling place is still required to be open. Therefore it was not within the power of the election official to not count the ballot, as it is a valid vote having been cast at 11:59.

If this is a concern, then change the law. I don't believe that the current laws allow any leeway in exigency circumstances such as this. I'd personally strongly support such a change, however.
