This bill removes criminal penalties for giving or receiving FDA regulated medicine which has passed the Phase I Trial Stage (Safe/Non-Toxic) to a terminal patient who needs it. It offers a potential lifeline to those who have no other alternative. I think federal law enforcement should focus on real crimes instead of harassing terminal patients for taking medicine.

This bill will give Patients an option to use medicines and treatments that can possibly save their lives when all other means have been exhausted, I fully support this bill.

This bill guarantees access to experimental medicine that can give a chance to terminally ill patients a chance to survive. We need to pass this bill.

I do worry about some of the issues that might arise with the use of experimental treatments, but on the other hand of the issue it's not like there's an alternative as outline in this bill's scenario. And from a point of view of empathy, I would certainly like to have options if faced with such a grim reality.

I'll be supporting this, and since all but one Senators have expressed support I hereby request unanimous consent to waive the minimum debate time requirement. Senators have 24 hours to object.
