Well, Oklahoma is a s**thole so I'm glad you are agreeing that Donald Trump's actions are morally reprehensible and look forward to your endorsement of Joe Biden.

Joe Biden's position on abortion is morally reprehensible.

Kamala Harris's endorsement of continuing unrest in our streets is morally reprehensible, as is her position on abortion.

I'm voting for Trump and I'm asking others to.  The latter is something I didn't do in 2016.

Take that attitude into the real world and see what happens.  You'll find that there are a lot of decent and honorable people voting for Trump.  On the other hand, the overwhelming majority of folks looting, burning, and rioting over the past 5 months that vote are going to vote for Trump.

In the past couple of weeks I have had one truck with a Trump flag make a U-turn and get close to the crosswalk while I was standing at an intersection as if they were trying to intimidate me (I had on no political items, but I am black). And just yesterday a woman with a Trump flag on her car gave me a dirty look for no reason while I was sitting outside the grocery store. Trump supporters are mean people whose goal is to bully people that don't look like them or act like them or think like them.

Are they really representative of all Trump supporters though? The bad apples tend to be the ones you notice.

The ones who aren't like that are willing to overlook bad behavior by Trump and his worst supporters. Even if they don't behave badly themselves they are enablers.

Fair enough. It's difficult because I don't believe in painting a picture of an entire group just based off the lowest common denominators, but at the same time, in my view, Trump has done so much that anyone who still supports him is doing some weir mental gymnastics at the very least. They might be fine people personally, but politically I might think they're dangerous, which puts me in a weird bind whenever I'm friends with a Trump supporter or smtg.

This is an old line, but it fits here:

"the 99% who are terrible make the rest look bad."

(This was a Stephen Wright joke, "99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name.")

Normally I'd agree with you, it's a logical fallacy to paint with a broad brush.  However, it is also true that people are voluntarily choosing to vote for Trump, which does mean they aren't just random people being painted with a broad brush, and Trump is so demonstrably extreme, to the point of being clearly evil (sadistic, intentionally cruel, selfish, negligent and possibly criminally negligent...) that, yes, I do think Trump voters can be painted with a broad brush.  Maybe not really 100% of them, but the overwhelming majority.

As to Fuzzy's argument that 'there are many fine people...who are Trump supporters.'  Sorry, I don't regard him as a valid character witness.

Will definitely be funny if the South Carolina seats flips but not the North Carolina seat because of this.

Also it can't be understated how inelastic this state is

Tillis has been running a few points behind Trump, and it's likely that Cunningham needs that to be the case in order for him to win.

Yeah, but Cooper is likely to give Cunningham the coattails he needs to win the race. Cooper is likely to win 55/45 margin enough for Cunningham to overcome the Dixiecrat tendacy of NC

Sure I'm just saying that while the state is fairly "inelastic," Trump is running ahead of Tillis who is running ahead of the GOP gubernatorial candidate. So to the extent the state IS elastic is likely why Cunningham would win

Eh, this probably won't matter. It got buried in the news storm, and the texts can't really be classified as "sexting"... it reads like something I sent to my "girlfriend" when I was in sixth grade Tongue.

What a boring scandal, only made more interesting by further revelations of impropriety or if the military decides to court-martial Cunningham for adultery (which apparently they can do?).

I'm mean the talk about sneaking away from the family to spend time with her is pretty creepy.

Cunningham's winning margin depends on voters who DON'T agree with all of the Democratic Party's agenda, but nonetheless view Cunningham as a reasonable, military family man who makes people feel warm and fizzy.

Trump's misbehavior, sexually, was long in the past, and at a time when he wasn't thinking of public office.  That doesn't justify what he did, but he certainly appears to have made the decision to clean up his act before running for office.

He paid hush money to a porn star while he was running for president. But then again I'm sure you knew that.

Stormy Daniels wasn't his finest hour.  The affair, however, occurred in 2006.  I have no problem with Trump paying hush money to Stormy Daniels.  That's not a crime.

I'll be OK with Cunningham blowing this seat preserving the GOP majority, Lyndon.  OK as Oklahoma!

I’m not defending Trump or Cunningham, but Trump literally committed a federal felony with the hush money payments, so it actually was a crime Tongue
