A lot of the angst towards Tulsi seems to be primarily from hardcore Hillary fans who are still bitter over her backing Bernie so strongly.

I voted for Sanders.

A Hindu woman in her 30s isn't going to get any of the Obama-Trump voters back, even if she didn't have other negatives. Not saying that I wouldn't vote for her if she's the nominee, but let's be realistic.

If they were willing to vote for an African American who had a middle name of Hussein they certainly would be willing to vote for a Hindu Women too.

Hillary lost those voters because she was a terrible candidate not because of sexism or racism and if Gabbard loses those voters it will be much more related to many of her more controversial views on many issues .

Read this:
I saw this post on another forum and I think that it's 100% accurate:

"I said this yesterday in a different post and got crucified. I said that Obama won those the rural areas due to the fact that the recession hit those areas the hardest and all his GOP challengers in both election cycles where offering was more of the same basically ignoring the problem. Of course the GOP learned with Trump all they need is a charismatic leader on the right to say the things those rural voters want to hear about saving jobs and trade deals and they well flock too you even if you actually have no plan of doing anything like that. They took a page from the Obama "Change" Populist playbook and it worked. Of course if you add on racism, sexism and xenophobia like Trump did you can easily win those areas as well."

Lol, 4 might actually be a positive for her. And 5 is certainly not a negative.

Also, the irony of it.

1: Let's not talk about who the Trump campaign met during their campaign?
2: Does Trump condemn Assad?
3: Well progressives should certainly not vote for Trump either if they blast over her on the issues.

Just to confirm the record for everyone:

She said on Twitter that the US should bomb only Al-Qaeda in Iraq and not Assad: https://twitter.com/TulsiGabbard/status/649458891168714752

She supports going after both ISIS and Al Qaeda and not regime changing a country that is keeping them in check.

And she would have voiced doubt about Spain sinking the USS Maine and the Gulf Of Tonkin incident. She didn't say Assad was innocent, just that there wasn't enough proof. After all, ISIS could have possibly done it as well.

Her views on these issues have changed quite a lot since she was 22.

Greenwald I can see, but I can't see the others supporting her.

ISIS doesn't have access to sarin gas.

ISIS has used sarin gas.

Voting for a female Hindu is a farther bridge than voting for a black male Christian for most people that either of these would be a far bridge for.

Voted for Iron Dome but criticized Israel for firing on unarmed Palestinians. So probably not that different than Bernie.

Here's one example I found:

http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2017/roll011.xml

She voted no on a House resolution that criticized UN Resolution 2334, the UN resolution that called the settlements illegal.  The Dems were split on that one, with 109 voting yes and 76 voting no.  Almost all the Republicans voted yes.  O'Rourke also voted no, btw (and Swalwell too).  Delaney voted yes.

If we actually end up getting a Gabbard vs. Trump election this will confirm we're living in the worst timeline.

I like how 90% of the people in this thread cheering for her are Republicans and/or Trumpists, lol. Really telling.

Are you really surprised? Steve effing Bannon wanted to give her a job in the Trump administration.

And the other 10% are hardcore Bernie cultists. Notice a number of Bernie voters on here are calling Gabbard out on her bullsh**t, but the Bernie diehards will excuse anyone including outright fascists as long as they attack the DNC and 'the establishment'. These are the type of people who watch H.A Goodman videos, donate to Tim Canova, and vow to vote Green Party if they don't get their wish. I'll make a prediction that either Tulsi Gabbard, Richard Ojeda, Andrew Yang, or any of the other TYT debate tier candidates run third party when Democrats nominate someone who is a 'neoliberal corporate whore' and 'just as bad as Trump'.

Gabbard's a FF after reading what the Twitter Left posted about her. I hope she chooses Flynn as her running mate (He's a registered Democrat)
Why though?  There are plenty of qualified military men that haven't been investigated by the FBI.

This might have been brought up but where will her campaign HQ be? I feel like it wouldn't be practical to have it in Hawaii, so maybe somewhere in California instead.

By that logic Hillary's campaign headquarters should have been in Riyadh.

It's joke logic.
