We are now convened to discuss replacements for Sen. Jake. Candidacy is open to all members of the NLC.

Mr. Chairman,

If allowed, I would like to place the name of former Governor MAS. I believe that given that he would make an excellent addition to the Senate, and I have full faith that he would serve this nation well if given the opportunity.

Chairman Verily,
I would like to put my name forward for Jake's Senate seat. I think we are all aware of my previous record in that office and I would like to continue to serve Atlasia as one of her Senators. I also will continue to uphold the tradition of this party and work with other NLC senators to advance the causes and ideals of the party. I have been one of the most loyal members of this party and, in my two terms of service as President, helped to bring the party's beliefs and ideology to the forefront of Atlasia. I would like to thank the NLC for finally creating a home for all centrists and liberals, both economic and social. I hope that the party sees it fit to honor me with the position of Senator.

Both MAS and Colin would make excellent Senators, and I just want to say that no matter what happens here, I'd like to see both continue forward to the five-candidate April NLC Primary.

I am removing my name from consideration for the vacant Senate seat, and I hope that the party will come together and unify behind appointing Colin.

In all honesty I would have preferred someone from the District to represent the District 4 Senate seat until the elections in April, however considering an overwhelming majority of NLC members wants Colin to replace Jake, I see no reason why he shall not. Thus, I wholeheartedly endorse former President Wixted for the vacant Senate seat Smiley.

With MAS out of the race, I fully support Colin to replace Jake.

I should point out that I, as the only member actually from District 4, already placed my name forward for consideration.

Given how soon the primary is, we'll hold an informal vote here lasting until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, March 27. Please vote for your choice for the replacement Senator.

I have a lot in common with President Wixted, and if forced to make a call, I would likely support him over SPC in an NLC Primary, considering his past service.

The only thing that gives me pause here is that SPC is actually from District 4, and while he is a relative newcomer to the NLC, we did set a precedent with Hashemite's appointment.  I'm not sure he's exactly a model NLCer, but then again, this isn't even really an NLC seat when you think about it.  We only got it through smart political machinations.

With apologies to President Wixted, who will likely win this anyway and doesn't really need my vote here,

I have to agree with Mr Moderate on this one. Again it's not a personal vote, I just think it's a good opportunity to send a relative new comer to the Senate in a seat we were gifted, as Mr Moderate said, by political machinations.

I have to agree with Senator Afleitch and with the Secretary of Forum Affairs here. If we set precedent for District 2, we must for District 4

Assuming these results to be final, I want to congratulate former President Wixted on his victory.

As soon as Verily certifies the results here, Colin can take the oath of office and begin service in the Senate.

I would like to thank the NLC for choosing me to fill the District 4 vacancy. I will wait for Verily to confirm the results before I take the oath.
