Election Notes:
  • Special election to fill vacancy caused by the death of Pat McCarran on September 28, 1954. The governor appointed Ernest Brown on October 1, 1954 with a special election scheduled to coincide the general election the following month. Alan Bible assumed the seat on December 2, 1954 after winning the special election and served the remainder of the term.
