  • Nevada became the 36th state on October 31, 1864 and held its first general election on November 8, 1864. Henry Blasdel was sworn in as the state's first governor on December 5, 1864.
  • In addition to the regular county vote, the Soldier vote was 531 for Blasdel and 47 for Buell. These are included in the statewide totals.
