Excuse me while I run off to cry. What the hell?

If I'm reading some of these figures correctly, the Conservative vote is due more to NDP bleeding than the Liberals... usually I sneer at Hash's mid-election night commentary, but I agree with him on everything so far.

I think we can all agree on one thing: the media should stop giving attention to the horrible tweets from the random neckbeards, spergs and other morons on Twitter. It is the worst thing in any elections. It hurts so bad.

Well, NDP badly fumbled it and Liberals are much better at strategy.

It's the reverse of the US. NDP better gets better strategists.

Dix's decision not to go negative was absolutely moronic. Plus his own poor campaign, debate performance, the Liberal A-game, baggage. Overarching theme: stick with the devil you know. Hell, the Liberals are improving on their 2009 performance.

Methinks the Liberals will become utter, utter douchebags in their fourth term. They think they're literally invincible given everything they've been through.

How much is potentially people worried the NDP was going to have an overwhelming majority, and voted for the Liberals, assuming they were voting for a strong opposition? Much like the 2007 NSW election here.

Clark now trails by about 300 votes. Dix is saying that he has no regrets about staying positive, indeed they should continue that MO. LOL.

Smid: Last polls projected about 30 Liberal seats, which is roughly what the Dippers have now.

Also looks like Clark will lose her seat, but Dix didn't say anything about resigning. Will he do that in the next few days? He certainly should given the results.

If BC was more like Ontario having three strong parties this is possible. But in a two party system, voting for a party equals voting for a four year dictatorship by that party.

BTW Dix is holding a press conference and seems glum.

Usually, people don't resign on election night. Only Duceppe did, and that's was quite obvious.

260 behind for Clark with 8 boxes left. Not good for her. Anyways, she won when she was doomed, so, she'll find someone for resigning.

I understand why they're hesitant to call VPG given how Radio-Canada blew Charest's Sherbrooke 6 years ago.

Yes, and they were very prudent with Charest last time. They finally called it when Cardin was leading by 3000 votes. I'm pretty sure pretty much anyone else would have been called at 1000.

According to BC law (lead must be lower than 0.5%, only one recount will be held, in Saanich North and the Islands, whcih was a close 3-way won by NDP over Liberals, but all parties polled over 8000 votes).

Wierd.
Elections BC is still saying than there is 8 boxes to report, but NDP lead grew to 452 votes.
